Do you have a willingness to learn about or are you already aligned with alternative healing methods that incorporate the mind, body and spirit? Are you ready to contribute to something extraordinary? Then look no further… this is YOUR opportunity! Vitality Natural Healthcare Center has expanded patient contact hours and we are looking for an enthusiastic, energy rich, friendly, coachable and organized PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR to join our team! This is a front desk position.
Our ideal candidate is someone who is seeking longevity in our successful practice and is ready to be a valuable team member with the ability to see our mission and vision through. Being in service is of the utmost priority in order to contribute to this thriving practice. Our philosophy is not just easing “symptoms” but increasing joy and enhancing the quality of life of our practice members. We love to ask what’s right not only in our own lives, but in the lives of our Vitality Ohana. (Ohana means “chosen family” in Hawaiian culture.)
Office Culture:
Vitality is a multi-award winning, thoroughly established wellness center that opened in 1997. We are located in a three-story, free-standing second empire Victorian building which houses a Chiropractor/Holistic Health Practitioner and an Associate D.C., Reiki Master/Teacher and a yoga instructor. We have very passionate practice members, many of whom are “lifers” and make Vitality the healthcare choice for their entire family.
Evening part time position but FULL time commitment:
Monday through Thursday: 3:15 pm until 8/8:30 pm
Weekly staff meeting typically Thursdays at 12:30 pm.
Flexibility to work other shifts as needed and attend EOW trainings.
Occasional weekend hours for office programs and community events.
Must attend our all-day healing retreat in the spring and fall.
Some travel required (for training and other events).
Fun teambuilding included. In 2023, we went to the mountains of Colorado and Walt Disney World.
Wage/Benefits:
Wage commensurate to experience with a generous bonus program. Complimentary care for immediate family members.
Responsibilities:
Being in service is the utmost priority. You MUST leave any personal issues "checked" at the door. You are the first face our practice members see when they walk in: say hello and greet them with a smile. Pleasantly answer the phones/text messages/emails and manage entire office schedule. Make sure the patient flow is running smoothly. Process and handle all forms of payment and enter prepaid care plans into database. Schedule appointments and print superbills when needed. Engage in meaningful conversations. Manage and monitor patient care outcomes. Assist with all marketing and promotions. Run daily reports at the end of the evening and keep track of stats. This is a brief rundown and might not sound like a lot, but it is a very comprehensive position and includes many other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
You must be a friendly and warm person with a caring heart. You must mesh well with the current team. This position provides extensive administrative support for daily office operations and interfaces with clinical director/owner and office coordinator. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, solid writing skills, multi-tasking ability is a MUST (think of an octopus and an air traffic controller combined), flexibility in an ever-changing office environment, ability to take direction, enthusiastic, team player, great sense of humor (lots of Dad jokes happen in this building), strong interest in natural/alternative healing methods, willingness to grow and expand one’s personal development. Previous event planning and coordination is a bonus, not required. History of relationship building is strongly encouraged.
OK, you got to the end. Does this sound like you? Are you a good match and are you able to stretch to succeed? Are you willing to learn, work hard and have fun doing so? Are you coachable and can you check your "stuff" at the door? Tell us what makes you a good fit in this unique office environment. You must feel this "job" deeply in your soul and only then, apply to it.
